Il calcio dell’anno 2011? Quello di Mirco Bergamasco

Italy came from 12 points down in the Stadio Flaminio to beat France for the first time in the Six Nations. The Italians were behind from the 14th minute until the 74th, when their goalkicker Bergamasco landed a touchline penalty – his fifth of the match – to hand Nick Mallett’s team victory and their biggest scalp in 11 seasons in the competition.

Tana Umaga riparte dai Counties Manukau Steelers

Tolone lo avrebbe (ri)voluto nel suo staff tecnico, ma l’ex all blacks riparte da casa sua: Tana è stato infatti ingaggiato come head coach dei Counties Manukau Steelers, club con base a Pukekohe, non lontano da Auckland. Per Umaga si tratta di una promozione, visto che nell’ultimo anno è stato assistente-giocatore proprio degli Steelers. Prende il posto di Milton Haig, chiamato dalla Georgia a fare il ct.
