Sabato a Sydney scatta il Tri-Nations 2011 con Australia-Sudafrica (l’ultimo prima dell’ingresso dell’Argentina).

Problemi all’aereo, Sudafrica costretto all’atterraggio

Paura ieri sera per gli springboks. L’aereo della Qantas che stava portando la nazionale sudafricana in Australia è dovuto rientrare due ore dopo il decollo dall’aeroporto di Johannesburg per un problema meccanico. Nervosismo e un po’ di paura per i passeggeri, ma nessuna conseguenza. La partenza per l’Australia – dove la comitiva si sta dirigendo per terminare la preparazione in vista del debutto al tri-Nations contro i wallabies – è stata rimandata a questa mattina.

Currie Cup al via, il Sudafrica si rimette in gioco

Finito il Super Rugby l’emisfero australe riprende a giocare. Se in Nuova Zelanda parte l’ITM Cup, il maggior torneo nazionale, il Sudafrica non è da meno e vede il kick-off del suo omologo, la Currie Cup, una delle più antiche competizioni di rugby esistenti al mondo (è nata nel 1889). Il tutto mentre si gioca il Tri-Nations, in attesa dei Mondiali di settembre e ottobre….
