La costola di O’Connor va ko, Melbourne trattiene il fiato

Un infortunio alla costola sta mettendo in agitazione – e preoccupazione – i Rebels di Melbourne. Perché il proprietario della costola in questione è James O’Connor, ricoverato all’ospedale di Sydney dopo essere stato costretto ad abbandonare il campo durante la partita con i Waratahs in seguito a uno scontro piuttosto fortuito con Berrick Barnes.
Il giocatore fa fatica a respirare mentre esami sono ancora in corso (pare sia “coinvolto” anche il fegato di James), ma il giocatore dovrebbe rimanere fermo per sei settimane. Uno stop che potrebbe pregiudicare, in parte, anche la sua presenza nei test-match di giugno con la nazionale australiana, almeno per le prime gare.
